Meeting location: Senior Center, 1555 Crystal Springs Road, San Bruno, CA.
City Council meetings are conducted in accordance with Roberts Rules of Order Newly Revised and City Council Rules of Procedure. You may address any agenda item by standing in front of the microphone until recognized by Council. All regular Council meetings are recorded and televised on CATV Channel 11 and replayed the following Thursday, at 2:00 pm. You may listen to recordings in the City Clerk's Office, purchase cassette and video copies, access our web site at www.sanbruno.ca.gov and San Bruno residents may check out video copies at the Library. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals requiring reasonable accommodation for this meeting should notify us 48 hours prior to meeting. a. The Beautification Task Force Invites Residents to Nominate Properties for 2008 Annual Beautification Awards, Nomination Forms are Available at the City Clerk’s Office or on the City’s website. The deadline for nominations is Friday, August 22.
b. San Bruno's Redevelopment Agency will meet following this evening's meeting.

6. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Regular Council Meeting of July 8, 2008.
7. CONSENT CALENDAR: All items are considered routine or implement an earlier Council action and may be enacted by one motion; there will be no separate discussion unless requested by a Councilmember, citizen or staff.
a. Approve: Payroll of July 25, 2008.
b. Approve: Accounts Payable of July 7, 2008.
c. Adopt: Reconciliation of General Ledger to Bank Reports and the Investment Reports Dated June 30, 2008.
d. Authorize: Voting Delegate and Alternate for the League of California Cities Annual Conference September 24-27, 2008 in Long Beach.
e. Approve Acceptance of Grant Funding in the Amount of $90,698 from State of California, Office of Traffic Safety and Authorize the City Manager to Proceed with the Grant Approval Process and to Administer a Driving Under the Influence Education and Enforcement Program.
f. Adopt Resolution Approving Personnel Board By-Laws.
g. Adopt Resolution Approving Contract with Area Agency on Aging for Senior Center Programs.

a. Adopt Resolution Opposing Fiscally Irresponsible State Budget Actions to Borrow Local Government, Redevelopment Transportation Funds.
b. Adopt Resolution Establishing Policy Goals and A Voluntary Program Promoting the Elimination of Polystyrene Food Service Ware and Receive Report and Provide Direction Regarding Proposed Ordinance to Ban Polystyrene Food Service Ware.
d. Adopt Resolution Approving Appropriation of $12,000 for the “Film Night in the Park“ Outdoor Film Series as Recommended by Culture & Arts Commission.
e. Adopt Resolution Authorizing a Rate Increase to Peninsula Yellow Cab Fare Schedule.
