Meeting location: Senior Center, 1555 Crystal Springs Road, San Bruno, CA.
City Council meetings are conducted in accordance with Roberts Rules of Order Newly Revised and City Council Rules of Procedure. You may address any agenda item by standing in front of the microphone until recognized by Council. All regular Council meetings are recorded and televised on CATV Channel 11 and replayed the following Thursday, at 2:00 pm. You may listen to recordings in the City Clerk's Office, purchase cassette and video copies, access our web site at www.sanbruno.ca.gov and San Bruno residents may check out video copies at the Library. In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals requiring reasonable accommodation for this meeting should notify us 48 hours prior to meeting. a. The Regular Meeting of September 9, 2008 is Cancelled. The Next Regular City Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
b. The City Clerk’s Office is Accepting Applications for Appointment to the City’s Citizen Advisory Commissions, Boards and Committees. The Application Deadline is 5:00 p.m., September 12, 2008.
c. San Bruno’s Redevelopment Agency will meet following this evening’s meeting.
4. PRESENTATIONS:
Adopt Proclamation Declaring September 2008 as Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in the
City of San Bruno.
5. REVIEW OF AGENDA:
6. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Regular Council Meeting of July 8, 2008.
7. CONSENT CALENDAR: All items are considered routine or implement an earlier Council action and may be enacted by one motion; there will be no separate discussion unless requested by a Councilmember, citizen or staff.
a. Approve: Payroll of July 25, 2008.
b. Approve: Accounts Payable of July 7, 2008.
c. Adopt: Reconciliation of General Ledger to Bank Reports and the Investment Reports Dated June 30, 2008.
d. Authorize: Voting Delegate and Alternate for the League of California Cities Annual Conference September 24-27, 2008 in Long Beach.
e. Approve Acceptance of Grant Funding in the Amount of $90,698 from State of California, Office of Traffic Safety and Authorize the City Manager to Proceed with the Grant Approval Process and to Administer a Driving Under the Influence Education and Enforcement Program.
f. Adopt Resolution Approving Personnel Board By-Laws.
g. Adopt Resolution Approving Contract with Area Agency on Aging for Senior Center Programs.

9. CONDUCT OF BUSINESS:
a. Receive Report and Provide Direction to Staff Regarding a Red Light Photo Enforcement Program.
b. Adopt Resolution Authorizing City Manager to Execute a Construction Contract with Interstate Paving and Grading, Inc. for the FY 2008-09 Street Rehabilitation Program in the Amount of $1,046.762 and Approving a Construction Budget in the Amount of $1,256,000.
c. Adopt Resolution Authorizing City Manager to Execute Streetlight License Agreement with Pacific Gas and Electric Company for Installation of SmartMeter Communication Equipment.
d. Adopt Resolution Authorizing City Manager to Execute a Construction Contract with Andy's Roofing Co., Inc. for the Senior Center Roofing Replacement Project in the Amount of $25,100 and Approving a Construction Budget in the Amount of $28,865.
e. Adopt Resolution Approving Appropriation of $11,000 for Construction of Frames for Downtown Mural and Costs Associated with Mural Dedication Ceremony.
