Building Permits & Inspections
The Building Division is responsible for activities related to the construction, remodeling, and demolition of buildings and structures. Division staff review building permit applications, issue permits, check plans, and inspect buildings to ensure compliance with all applicable codes.

The Residential Construction Guide has been prepared as an aid to the contractor or homeowner who is planning a residential construction project.

Residents can now view the status of building permits and planning projects online HERE

Search for scanned building permits and plans, including all building documents that are contained in in the City's microfilm records HERE.
INSPECTIONS
To schedule an inspection on a project with a current permit, call 616-7076. Please have the permit number, type of inspection, and contact person's phone number available. Inspections should be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
