Residential Rehabilitation Program
The Residential Rehabilitation Program is designed to help low and moderate income homeowners living in the Redevleopment Project Area to repair and upgrade their homes. The Program is administered by the San Mateo Housing Department. Currently, the Agency is able to undertake only a limited number of rehabilitation projects because of funding constraints.
The Program provides low interest loans and grants for housing repairs, including: 1) Emergency Repair Grants, 2) Emergency Repair Loans, and 3) Single Family Rehabilitation Loans. Eligible projects range from small-scale repairs and correcting City code violations to major rehabilitation projects. The one page Residential Rehabilitation Program summary table outlines the main program requirements.
The Income Limits chart shows the maximum incomes adjusted by household size that are used determine eligibility for housing programs sponsored by the Redevelopment Agency. The income limits apply to all of San Mateo County and are published annually by the California Department of Housing and Community Development.
