Cedar Grove Development- 599 Cedar Avenue
The City has received an applcation to develop the vacant 1.9 acre parcel that was formerly occupied by the Peninsula Christian Fellowship Church. The applicant proposes to subdivide the property and construct 14 new single family homes with associated roadway and landscape improvements. The project requires review by the Architectural Review Committee and Planning Commission. Crystal Springs Terrace Apartments- 2000 Crystal Springs Road
Crystal Springs Terrace Apartments will be constructing a new recreation and leasing building at the south end of the complex. The existing recreation building will be converted into four new residential units. They will also build a new parking area with 11 new spaces. Park Plaza Apartments- 2081 Whitman Way
The proposal includes changes to the exterior of the buildings, landscaping improvements, and the legal conversion of the apartments into condominiums. The project was approved at the December 15, 2009 Planning Commission meeting. The Planning Commission staff report is available HERE.

Downtown Mixed-Use Project: 406-418 San Mateo Avenue
Proposal to construct a three-story mixed-use development with 48 residential condominiums and 14,650 square feet of retail space at the site of the vacant El Camino Theater and 3 adjacent properties (formerly bars) in downtown San Bruno. The City Council approved this project on January 27, 2009. Remaining approvals required before the proposed project can be started include completion of the Final Map and application for demolition and building permits. As of January 2012, the owner has been unable to obtain financing for the proposed project, and it is not clear when or if the approved project will move forward.
