San Bruno Sends Strike Team to Summit Fire in Santa Cruz County
Three San Bruno Firefighters went with a Strike Team of Engines to Santa Cruz and Santa Clara Counties to help battle the raging Summit fire. The firefighters spent five days in the wildland interface protecting structures that were threatened by the fire. San Bruno was part of a State wide mutual aid Strike Team that also included 14 other pieces of apparatuses from San Mateo County. Over 4200 acres were consumed and 99 structures were damaged or destroyed.
