Donations
The San Bruno Public Library and the Friends of the San Bruno Library are pleased to accept donations of usable items. Donations are either given to the Friends to stock their sale area in the Library lobby, or they are added to the Library collection at the discretion of the Library staff. Due to lack of storage space, our small Friends’ sale area, and limited Library collection space, we request that donations be limited to one bag or small box per week. We are happy to accept materials in very good condition with the exception the following:
- Textbooks or computer manuals older than two years
- Magazines
- Dirty, mildewed, or otherwise damaged materials
- Encyclopedias
Please leave donations with staff at the Circulation Desk during regular Library hours. While staff is not able to affix a value to donated materials for tax purposes, we are happy to issue a receipt upon request. Staff reserves the right to refuse gifts upon which restrictions are placed.
If we are unable to accept your donation, you may contact our neighboring libraries or other local organizations for their donation policies.
