    United Against Hate Week is an initiative that started in 2017 to combat hate and racial injustice within our communities. For 2023, United Against Hate Week is celebrated November 12 – November 18. In celebration of United Against Hate Week, all are invited to meet authors of books that celebrate diversity and belonging. Ali Biko Sulaiman Kamanda is an award-winning filmmaker and social entrepreneur from Sierra Leone, West Africa. Black Boy, Black Boy was written to inspire Black boys to imagine all the great things they can do while celebrating remarkable moments from Black history. From athlete and activist Colin Kaepernick to musician Sam Cooke, inventor Elijah McCoy and writer Chinua Achebe, there are so many inspirational men in Black history.
